History of Reschensee
In 1949/50, the villages of Graun and Reschen in Obervinschgau became victims of a careless reservoir project. The site of the famous Reschensee used to be the picturesque village of Graun, Bozen and Landeck, with wide-gabled inns like "Adler" (Warger) and "Traube" (Reinhartl).
Today our Hotel Traube Post, as a stop for the post. 163 houses and 523 hectares of fertile soil fell victims to the floods. The steeple that you can still see rising from the lake is the only remains of the former village of Graun.
