Biking on the sunny side of the Alps

The OberVenosta Valley holiday region in South Tyrol is a true paradise for "get up and go" mountain bikers and pleasure seeking cyclists: almost 300 sunny days a year, more than 300 km of mountain bike trails and cycle paths and a spectacular natural landscape guarantee biking fun from March to November.

Experience pure biking pleasure in all its forms, whether light, short or difficult tours, whether tricky single trails through forests and meadows, sweaty altitude tours, action packed downhill trails or simply a casual bike tour with the family around fascinating Lake Reschen - beginners to mountain bike experts will uncover their ideal route in Venosta Valley.

But even the most ambitious racing drivers will be in their element with demanding mountain passes as well as sporting destinations and routes on mountain slopes for their racing bikes. A particular challenge here is the bike tour to the 2,760 m high Stilfserjoch, which is one of the highest passable Alpine passes. The 48 bends with a total of 1,869 m in altitude are a guaranteed highlight for every cyclist.

The selection of flow trails, high mountain tours, single trails, idyllic bike trails and family tours is almost unlimited. You won't find countless routes coupled with such spacious and stunning scenery anywhere else, all of it just there waiting to be explored by you. Active tourists cannot wait to fill their shoes in the mountain bike paradise around Lake Reschen.
