Nordic walking tours in OberVenosta Valley:


Schliniger Alpine hut

Schlinig | Length: 4.8 km

Start point in Schlinig beside the new cross-country skiing centre. Go left along the forest, cross the bridge to the right; continue further to the Schliniger Alm - Alpine hut (training area). On the hiking trail back to the starting point.


Florapark route

Mals | Length: 4.3 km

Comfortable beginner route for anyone - with a training area. Start point on the main square in Mals, to the right next to the "Grauen Bär" Gasthof. The angular path is followed till the Pflanzgarten (herbs garden), through the forest road in the direction of the Florapark. Follow the Florapark in a downwardly direction and then across the Parkgasse (alley) back to the main square.


National Park route

Glurns | Length: 7.9 km

Start on the Etschbrücke (bridge) in Glorenza/Glurns. Right to the campsite, then cross the Etsch and the Rambach via the bridge crossing, continuing to the Waldrast. The ascent begins there (approx. 2.5 km) up till the St. Martin Church (training area, beautiful views over the Venosta Valley). Down to the Platzgangl junction.

Lighter variation:
6.3 km

Platzgangl junction, continuing straight along down the Vita Parcour, St. Jakob Church, on Jakobsweg (the Way of St James) back to the starting point.
